The fossil fuel is used in a lot of quantity especially in container terminal that is by Rubber Tired Gantry equipment, meanwhile the greenest energy electrical power is available nearby.
Finding the high consuming fossil fuel and the availability of electric power is quite potential for solution. To change the engine system on RTG to be electric power type is demanding.
Applying electrification deal with theory and application of fast growing technology and many new improvements achieved. Furthermore applying electrification on RTG the free moving equipment is more challenging, than on STS which has on block changing and no connection disconnection function.
The most proper method of RTG electrification is depend more on its own terminals, and the availability of electrification method in market. The dissertation recommends the RTG electrification method though the understanding on actual technical and operational aspect of existing terminal in this case TPKS, and the recent improvement or achievement in RTG electrification method
Dealing with the not fully ideal terminal condition with some actual characteristic and the fast achievement in RTG electrification method are the conditions will be faced. Also dealing with the vendors which not fully same condition in readiness to provide the complete options which usually tend to promote the only RTG electrification method they work on.Finally through the proper decision in electrification method based on its own terminal condition technically and operationally, also by utilizing the recent improvement on electrification method, it will gain the most applicable, effective, efficient and profitable investment.
