'The impact of implementation of individual development plan (IDP) toward people development in IPC
PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) has transformed its human resources sector include organization restructurization, man power planning, recruitment, compensation and benefit and also its human development and training since 2009 until now. In order to improve the quality of its human rosources, PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) create many development programs through education, training, seminar, workshop and many more nationally or internationally. The development that made by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) was fast and intense. It implemented trough sending more than 150 (one hundred fifty) employees to study abroad to take master degree or doctoral degree. PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) sent its employees to China, Australia, Holland, United Kingdom, Germany, Sweden, Belgium even to United States of America. In the other hand, many executive programs made. However, those programs should be done effectively and efficiently and should align with visions, misions, goals and company’s need and also employee's career path.One of the tools which is used by PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia II (persero) to push the Training and Development Program work effectively is with using the scheme of Individual Development Plan (IDP) which reveal a series of development actions aimed at improving the level of employee competence. Individual Development Plan (IDP) is expected to be the indicator of each employee in achieving the compani’s goal and objective of the employees themselves. Purpose and Benefits of Individual Development Planninglndividual development planning helps identify the employee's development goals and the strategies for achieving them by linking them to the organization's mission and goals. As a concept Individual Development Plan (IDP) is intended to:1.Encourage the employee to take ownership of his/her organizational development2.Provide an administrative mechanism for identifying and tracking development needs and plans to help meet company critical mission and goals3.Assist the company in planning for its annual training and development requirements.
