The readiness of customer's to use gate booking system in Belawan International container terminal
Belawan International Container Terminal (BICT) congestion that occurs in the terminal have unfavorable consequences for both the terminal and the environment surrounding of it. The aim of this study is to find out the readiness of customers to use the new system in BICT. A survey was conducted in BICT Medan. The sixty one respondents were participated in this study by responding to a set of questionnaires (Technology Readiness Index) given to them. The results demonstrate that the readiness of customer’s which is optimism, insecurity on trust have significant relationship to use Gate Booking System in BICT. The findings of this study will be one of the guidelines for Pelindo I management to decide the appropriate solution for gate congestion in BICT.
