The Contribution of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) to the Provincial and National Economy
The Indonesia Port Corporation's (IPC) ports are crucial to the functioning of Indonesia economy. Serving an area that is home to almost 100 million people and two-fifths of the economy, the Corporation's ports handle almost one-third of the value of exports from the country. And Tanjung Priok, the country's largest port, handles five times more imports (by value) than any other port in indonesia.
As its economy grows, Indonesian demand fort port services is increasing strongly. IPC is implementing an ambitious five-year strategy between 2014 and 2018 to accommodate this expected demand.
