Pump Operation and Maintenance

Industry spends millions of dollars every year on maintenance of the many kinds of pumps needed forits vasrious services. Maintenannce and placement costts in the chemical industry where pumps are major components of almost every process average 50 percent of the initial investment.
Instruction books are available with many pumps. The book is divided into three parts. The first covers centrifugal pumps, with six chapters devoted to installation, operation, trouble shooting, and maintenance of these pumps. The second and third parts of the book cover rotary and reciprocating pumps. Complete, accurate, and simple instructions and illustration are given for the installation, operation, and maintenance of a wide variety of modern pumps of these types. The last chapter covers various phases of pump maintenance control.
