Indonesia petrochemicals report Q3 2017 : Includes 5-year forecasts to 2021
With a growing population and increasing incomes, investment growth in Indonesia will depend on the country's domestic consumer and its manufacturing industries, thereby providing a stimulus to petrochemicals consumption. Additionally, we expect progress by the government in its efforts to improve the business environment. This should translate into increased investment in petrochemicals plants, enabling the country to move towards its target of zero net imports of basic petrochemicals. However, a number of projects have been postponed and much of the planned growth is now unlikely to occur within our forecast period.
