L&T Construction Secures Deals Worth INR25.5bn
Indian firm L&T Construction has won contracts worth around INR25.25bn (USD395mn) across various business segments. The firm's Metallurgical & Material Handling business has secured orders worth INR22.7bn (USD355mn) in the domestic market. The company has bagged an engineering, procurement and construction contract for a non-ferrous process plant in India. Under the contract, it will also design, install and commission various subunits of the process plant and other associated works. The firm has also won an order for manufacturing and supply of material handling equipment for multiple customers. The company's Power Transmission & Distribution business has secured an order from Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand to supply and build a 500/230kV gas insulated substation and carry out improvement works in two 230kV gas insulated substations. Electronics Corporation of Tamil Nadu Limited awarded L&T Construction's Smart World & Communication business a contract which includes supply, installation, commissioning, configuration, testing as well as operations and maintenance of the existing Tamil Nadu State Data Centre in India.
