Lombok Marine Energy Project Investment Finalised
SBS Energi Kelautan (SBSEK) a completed final investment decision with SBS International (SBS) to move forward with the first phase of the 150MW Nautilus marine energy project in Lombok, Indonesia. The 12MW first phase, costing USD64mn, is expected to be completed by 2020, according to SBS. The project will be implemented in three phases and will cost a total of USD750mn. SBS is expediting engineering activities for the first phase under a 36-month contract. The scope of the contract involves engineering, procurement and construction; managing offshore surveys; environmental impact studies; installing electro-mechanical components; and system integration testing. Atlantis Resources will supply eight 1.5MW Atlantis AR1500 turbine systems and other equipment to SBSEK under a preferred supplier agreement for the first phase. The project will be powered by 100 1.5MW turbines. The plant's output will be sold to Perusahaan Listrik Negara under a 30-year power purchase agreemen
