Olympia Violago Signs Rizal Hydropower Project Deal

Olympia Violago Water & Power signed a deal with the P ower Construction Corporation of China (PowerChina) to design, procure and build the 500MW Wawa pumped storage hydropower project in Rizal province, Philippines. The scheme, being developed by San Lorenzo Ruiz Builders and Developers Group and Equis Energy, is expected to cost USD1bn. Work is slated to start by end-2017 and the facility is expected to be commissioned in 2022, according to Hydro World.
