The Indonesian g overnment will limit the holding time for storag e containers to improve waiting times at ports . The holding period has been fixed at a maximum of seven days after the g oods enter the port. Any container exceeding this limit will be handed over to the customs and excis e department, according to a statement by the Trans portation Minis try's Maritime Traffic Director Harry Budiarto. 'The seven-day rule actually already exis ts . This measureaims to tighten it further,' he added (The Jakarta Pos t).
