According to the 20 14 - 15 World Economic Forum Global Competitiveness Index, the country's ports rank in 12th pos ition among its 14 reg ional peers . The country's ports have not developed quickly enoug h to keep up with Indones ia's macroeconomic growth and so are plagued by congestion and backlogs .
