Industry brief – Kimberly Clark Awards three year contract to APL logistics

News: APL Logistics, a 100% owned subsidiary of Singapore-based Neptune Orient Lines (NOL), has been awarded a three-year contract by US-based consumer products manufacturer Kimberly-Clark, reports Cargo News Asia. Under the terms of the contract, APL will be responsible for trans porting and distributing Kimberly-Clark's health and hygiene products throughout Indonesia. APL will trans port products from Kimberly-Clark's distribution centre in Jakarta to over 70 locations in 11 cities throughout the country. The logistics company will deliver the products to retail outlets as well as Kimberly-Clark's network of distributors , including hotels and restaurants . Industry observers believe the three-year transportation and distribution contract will streng then the financial and business prospects of APL Logistics .
